New patients are always welcome at the office of Dr. Holland Killian. Whether you are seeking a comprehensive evaluation or you have an emergency that needs to be attended to quickly, give us a call and we'll get you taken care of!
Patients of all ages are welcome at our Denver dental office, and Dr. Killian has extensive experience providing care to patients with all different levels of dental health. We can help you maintain your healthy smile or help you improve and restore your health. You'll never experience judgment here; we just want to work with you to help you feel better.
One of our goals is to build a relationship with each patient. We find that this helps us understand where you are coming from so that we can better meet your needs. Our office is small – one dentist and one hygienist. This means that you'll see the same faces every time you come in, so you can get to know us, as well! We don't treat you like a number or a set of teeth. We see you as a complete person with opinions, concerns, interests, and questions. We'll always take the time to speak with you so you gain a deeper understanding of your own dental health, as well as any treatments that we happen to recommend.

As you enter the door, you'll be greeted by Kim at the front desk. If you like, you can help yourself to a cup of coffee from our Keurig station and make yourself comfortable in our reception area!
You have the option of filling out your forms here at the office either electronically on our tablet or on good old-fashioned paper. If you would like to fill out your paperwork at the office, we do ask that you arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for this.
During your first appointment, our goal will be to start getting to know you and to establish a baseline for your current level of dental health. We'll take x-rays, intraoral photos, and perform a comprehensive exam. We generally don't perform a cleaning at your first appointment because your dental health and needs will determine what type of cleaning you should have.
Dr. Killian will discuss his recommendations with you and listen carefully to your input when developing your customized treatment plan. You are an important part of your dental care team, and your input and opinions are important to us!
If your first visit to our practice involves a dental emergency, we will focus the exam on the problem at hand to alleviate any pain and address the immediate concern. Once your emergency has been treated, we will schedule a full comprehensive exam to create a treatment plan, which will help you avoid emergencies in the future.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that each child visit a dentist by their first birthday or when their first tooth comes in. These early visits provide an opportunity for your child to develop a positive attitude toward dental care and dentists. We take your little one for a ride in the chair, and meet with you to discuss common childhood dental concerns, such as brushing, bottles, and thumb sucking.
Most children don't need comprehensive or restorative dentistry before the age of 4. We are happy to provide comprehensive children's dentistry for children above the age of 4. If your child is younger than 4 and needs restorative care, we can refer you to a pediatric dentist.
